Another darkness _ My first attempt to transform my thoughts about reality, perception and space into a stool. The object is made out of a flat, light absorbing material. Yet it’s extremely regular shape it is producing an disturbing effect - just by changing your position faces turn into lines and vice versa. Also simple, rectangular thing can reach the confusing darkness I am interested in.
This is a small video I did with Google Sketchup. It’s only a surface with a rastered, yellow pattern. The camera is slowly moving and changing the point of view. Due to the overlay of different rasters (the screen raster of the computer monitor & the yellow raster) comes the mighty moire effect into force.
